New owner for Nordic Truckcenter AB

2014-10-13

Nordic Truckcenter AB has a new owner. Nordic Trucks’ Swedish and Finnish branches have been sold to one of the company’s stakeholders. The buyer does not yet wish to be named; however, we can say that it is a large food and transportation company with sales of SEK 10 billion.

Since Nordic Truckcenter AB’s Dutch parent company, Koops Furness, went into receivership in August due to weak car sales, there have been several rumours circulating about the company. One of the rumours was that DAF would disappear from the Swedish market. ‘DAF are one of the world’s most profitable truck manufacturers,’ says Johannes Winberg, manager at Nordic Truckcenter AB in Sweden. ‘DAF have no intention of leaving the Swedish market and are very pleased with Nordic Truckcenter AB’s efforts, in terms of both sales and after-sales,’ Johannes continues.

The Swedish general agent for DAF is a successful company with its own corporate identity number. ‘Nordic Truckcenter AB is not, and has never been, in receivership.’ Sales have increased by 55% on last year and the future looks bright for the company.

More information about the new owner will be released shortly. Contact Johannes Winberg for more information.
